Eligibility requirements

To be issued a loaner vehicle, you’ll need to bring:

  • A valid driver’s license — all drivers must be at least 25 years old
  • Proof of current, full-coverage auto insurance in your name
  • A credit or debit card to place on file for the duration of the loan with a $200 authorization hold
  • Your vehicle must be in for [a qualifying warranty or recall repair / any service performed at our dealership]

When a loaner is provided

Loaner vehicles are offered as a courtesy while we complete certain repairs, based on availability:

  • Ask your Service Advisor about qualifying services and availability.
  • Not guaranteed for routine maintenance, such as oil changes or tire rotations.

Loaners are limited in number and offered [first-come, first-served / by reservation only] — we recommend requesting one when you book your appointment.

Cost & deposit

A refundable deposit of $200 is authorized on your card at drop-off and released once the loaner is returned in its original condition.

Loaner vehicle terms of use

  • Return the loaner with the same fuel level it had at pickup — a refueling charge of [$XX] applies otherwise
  • Mileage is limited to [XXX miles per day]; additional miles are billed at [$X.XX/mile]
  • Smoking is not permitted in any loaner vehicle
  • Pets must be secured in a carrier
  • Loaners are intended for local use [within XX miles of the dealership] — let your Service Advisor know if you need to travel further

Damage, violations & liability

You’re responsible for the loaner vehicle for as long as it’s in your possession, including:

  • Any damage beyond normal wear and tear — your insurance deductible of [$XXX] may apply
  • Traffic citations, tolls, or impound fees incurred while driving the loaner
  • Reporting any accident or mechanical issue to us immediately at [Service Dept. phone number]

How to request a loaner

Mention you’d like a loaner when you schedule service online or by phone.

Bring your license, insurance card, and a credit card at drop-off.

Your Service Advisor confirms availability and has you sign a short loaner agreement.

Return the loaner by close of business the day your vehicle is ready (6:00 PM Mon–Fri, 4:30 PM Sat).
